What are your thoughts about trophies at major shoots??

What is everyone’s attitude when it comes to prizes at major shooting events?

: Cash prizes.

:Ammo as prizes.

:A small trophy and reduced amount of ammo.

:The usual toaster, screwdriver set etc.

:Some new unheard off idea.

We are trying to get a general idea of everyone’s attitude ,so to try and better our annual 2 day shoot, so any info or ideas would be appreciated and can be forwarded onto me.

Cheers

My opinion on the above is: If you are going to give cash or ammo prizes (which I am sure everybody appreciates) the cash/ammo needs to be accompanied by a proper winners card stating what event and placing etc. As a lot of people keep these for keepsake. However I do like the small trophy with/cash ammo, but like a lot of people I am running out of shelf space. I have won enough toasters etc, to last my four girls at least twice over. Big Trophies like TV's, bbq's etc never go astray.
I have been trying to come up with some new idea on trophies for ages, one day it will hit me....

In an ideal world, cash and ammo are by far the best prizes for events - I agree with Amanda though, that they should come with a proper place card, not some envelope with dodgy writing on it!
I think that High guns should be awarded with a 'keepsake' prize of some description.

Although having said all this, a lot of our clubs are in smaller towns and whatever sponsorhsip you can get is better than nothing.
