Nickol Bay Gun Club

Nickol Bay Gun Club held its inaugural state championship competition in 5-stand shotgun on 1^st and 2^nd August 2009.  With an attendance of 45 people it proved to be a great success.  Thanks must be given to the sponsors and the tireless work of our members and supporters, who toiled through our summer heat and cyclones to construct the new club house.

Shooters attended from the local Pilbara clubs and from as far away as Perth. The competition winners are listed below, however, the real winners are the club members.  The weather was very pleasant with cool nights and a bit of wind during the afternoons. 

There was 100T 5-stand sporting, 50T D/B DTL and 50T D/B Continental.  With High Gun being awarded for event 2 and 3 to Gary Hawkins who was awarded a Franchi shotgun for his efforts.
